Abstract: The high intensive sediment yield in the area w ith abundant and coarse sediment of the Loess Plateau results from the
joint action of natural and human factors, and there are mult-i dimensional threshold in the process of sediment yield. From the
threshold perspective, t he authors systematically analyzed t he nat ural and socio-economic threshold problems existing in the
sediment yield process and their intrinsic mechanisms in order to lay some t heoretical foundation for the harness of w ater and
soil conservation and improvement of ecological environment in this area.
