Abstract :Based on the characteristics ，such as the topographic and geological conditions ，project layout ，construction ，etc. ，
of the high arch dam for Yebatan Hydropower Station ，the scheme for the layout of its diversion tunnel is optimized. Through an
overall economic and technical analysis ，a comparative selection is made among the preliminarily planned schemes ，i. e. the lay-
out of an equal-section dual-tunnel ，the layout of a large tunnel with small one and the layout of a single tunnel ，while the diam-
