Abs tract: Based on the spo t invest igation of a certain one- story steel indu stria l facto ry bu ilding co llap sed during
snow d isaster, the dam age state o f the structura l m em bers in the building w as described in deta il. The interna l
forces and stresses of the steel roo f tru ss under dead loads and live loads w ere ca lculated by m eans o f finite elem ent
m ethod, in order to c larify the collap se cau ses of the stee l indu str ia l factory building. T he num era l smi ulat ion ana-
ly tic so lution is in agreem ent w ith the result of spot investigat ion. Som e m ean ingful conc lu sions and inspiration are
obtained from the further analysis of anti-co llap se o f build ing aga inst snow disaster.
