Abs tract: Based on the exp ermi enta l study on the ramm ed-earth w a ll sub jected to m onotonic load and cyclic load,
the shear beh av ior and the se ism ic p erform ance of the earth w all are analysed. It is shown that different adding m a-
terials h ave great influ ence on the cracks, bearing cap acity, du ctility and hysteret ic beh av ior of the ramm ed-earth
