ABSTRACT: Based on analysis of vibration fault of the turbine

machinery, applications of genetic algorithm in fault diagnosis
w ere researched, the probabilistic causal netw ork of fault diag
nosis was made. The mathematics equation to solve the problem
of fault diagnosis, t he fault setsmanifestation setsrelation in
tensity and experience probabilit y of the rotating machinery,

such as turbine machinery were given. The mat hematics model
of fault diagnosis of turbine machinery by genetic algorithm w as
established, and the minimum value sets of formula correspond
ing to the relating fault and manifestat ion sets w ere put forw ard ,
ed. T he availabilit y of this method w as proved by a fault diagno ,
sis examples of turbine machinery .The results show that the ge ,
net ic diagnosis model proposed in this paper can be used for mul
tifault diagnosis toget her, it may make up shortage for some of ,
