A New Probe into Vocabulary Development in English

Language is the reflection of social life． Compared with other elements of language ，vocabulary develops more rapidly． Since
English has become the universal language of the world ，English vocabulary develops and upgrades promptly． The development of
modern English vocabulary can be shown in many perspectives． It mainly reflects in two aspects :one is from the traditional fac-
tors ，for example ，peoples traditional way of thinking and traditional word formation etc． The other is from modern factors ，such
as the development of science and technology ，social transformation ，political changes ，the renewal of concepts ，and the impact
of other languages on English etc． This article attempts to explore the
