C. - C o l o m b i a SPANISH LANGUAGE AND LATIN AMERICAN CULTURE COURSES FOR FOREIGNERS STUDY UNDERGRADUATE AND POSGRADUATE SUBJECTS IN SPANISH Our students who have reached the advanced level may have access to subjects of their interest in any of the undergraduate and postgraduate programs offered by the University. The cost of these is to be paid apart from the cost of the Spanish Course and is subject to the fees the University has established. BASIC LANGUAGE COURSES SPECIFIC SKILLS DEVELOPED Basic Spanish (1 and 2) Intermediate Spanish Advanced Spanish Superior Level (Reading, Writing, and Conversation) COURSES ON LATIN AMERICAN CULTURE Text Analysis and Discussion Short Stories and Poems Pre-Columbian Cultures Communication and Culture Colony, Republic and Independence Periods in Latin American History PRIVATE LESSONS We offer this kind of classes at home with a cost of $86,000 Colombian pesos or at the university with a cost of $83,000 Colombian pesos, according to the student needs. A minimum of 30 hours must be taken (hour = 60 minutes). REQUIREMENTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS No previous application is necessary to take our Spanish courses; students can register when they arrive in Bogota. They are to take the placement test and fill out a registration form in our office and bring along: One photograph Identification: Passport, Diplomat identification, “Cédula de Extranjeria”, or “Cédula de Ciudadanía” A student visa or entrance permit valid at least for the time of the course; foreigners whose legal stay in Colombia is about to expire will not be accepted. Certificates of acceptance into our Spanish courses for Students Visa purposes can only be issued after 100% of the course fee has been paid. This payment can be made in cash, in Colombian pesos or US dollars. It is advisable not
