adopted to m easu re the too l ange l and rea lize the dynam ic track ing of too lps w ear cond ition. B ased on M atlab mi age processing too lbox, the
techno logy of gray leve l conve rs ion, b inary conve rs ion and edge ex traction w as u sed to extract toolps features, then the m ethod o f least square
w as app lied fo r edge f itting, and f ina lly the ang le of cutting too lw as m easured. Expermi ental results show that th is m ethod is ab le to ge t the
tool ang le effective ly, and it can a lso be u sed to m easure the too l g eom etr ic param eters.
