It is a topic about how to study English well and how to study for a test. Students need to listen for some important language points by using some listening strategies like listening for key words and understanding the body language and the expressions on their faces. They are also supposed to make similar conversations about ways to study English. Part Two: Teaching objectives 1. Know objectives. (1)Students should master some new words like textbook, conversation, aloud, pronunciation, sentence and patient. (2) Students are able to listen for some important points and phrases by using some listening strategies like finding out the key words. (3) Students are able to learn how to make a similar conversation about ways to study English. 2. Ability objectives Students can master the skills about how to study English well. At the same time ,students can grasp the reading and speaking skills. 3. Emotional objectives Students are able to express their own ideas during the cooperation. Part Three: Analysis of the students Students of Grade Eight are less interested in English and have some problems in learning English grammar. However, they still prefer to talk about the things which are familiar in their daily life. Some easy and common topics can also help to raise their interest and make them more creative. The topic of this lesson is ways to study English, so it is easy and helpful to raise the students’ learning interest. Part Four: Teaching key points and difficulties (1)Teaching key points: reading textbook,listening to the tape,reading aloud to practice pronunciation,being patient.
