Analysis of the Students The students of Grade4 have mastered certain vocabularies, expressions and structures. They also have the abilities of working in groups. Analysis of Teaching Content Lesson 2 is the second lesson in Unit 1, Book 8.This unit focus on the subject Days and Months, Lesson 2 mainly talks about the days of the week. And their order in a week. 教学目标 教学目标 【知识目标】 1. To master the words: first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth, tenth, eleventh, twelfth. 2. To master the sentence: The boy in red shorts is the third. 【能力目标】 Improve the students’ ability of speaking, listening, reading and writing. 【情感目标】 Stimulate interest in learning English, and development of the students’ ability of using synthetic language. 【教学重点】 To master the words and phrases. 【教学难点】 To learn the actual function of Ordinal Numbers. 课前准备 课前准备 Tape recorder, Multimedia 教学过程 教学过程 Step 1. Warm-up 1.Greeting: T:Hello,everyone. How are you? Ss: Fine, thank you. How are you? T: I`m fine, hanks. Nice to see you again. Ss: Glad to see you again. 2. Sing a song: Days of the Week. Step 2. Presentation Explain the new words with the pictures. (Monday to Sunday) T: Look! What day is it today? Ss: It’s Wednesday. T: What day is it today? Ss: It’s Thursday. T: Guess! It’s the first day to go to school, what day is it today? Ss: It’s Monday. T: How about the next day? Ss: It’s Tuesday. Explain the abbreviation of these seven words.
