1. Show the pictures on the screen, and get Ss to say what they usually do in a day.
2. Ask a few students to answer the questions: What do you usually do in a day?
Show the pictures of the activities one by one, and get the Ss to learn and read the phases.
Review the activities and learn to ask and answer:
T: What time do you usually get up?
S1: I usually get up at six thirty.
Explanation: 英语钟点时刻的表达方式一:采用数词表达时间,例如:six thirty六点半; eight fifteen八点十五分; nine fifty-five九点五十五分
Play a game: show the activities on the screen and get the Ss to say the phrases as quickly as possible.
Match the activities with the pictures in 1a. And then check the answers with the class.
Play the recording in 1b for the Ss.
Play the recording for the Ss again.
Check the answers with the class on the screen.
Get the Ss to turn to Page 89,go through the conversations in 1b and explain the important.
Show the conversation in 1c on the screen .
Get the Ss to talk about Rick’s day.
Ask a few pairs to role -play their conversations.
