Unit 2 Ways to go to school(Part B let’s learn)

1.Teaching Material Analysis:
The topic of this part is “traffic rules”. Such a topic is related to our daily life, so it is helpful to raise students’ learning interests. Students are expected to be able to use the structure “...must...” to express some traffic rules.
This lesson is the fourth period of this unit. In the last three periods, the students have learnt the new words about ways to go to school, new patterns: ...must.../Don’t... to express some traffic rules. In this period, the students will learn some vocabularies and sentences about traffic rules. The most important point in this period is students’ comprehensive application of the target language.
2.Students’ Analysis:
Students in Grade Six have learned English for about 2 years so far. The students are happy to get in touch with new things. They are willing to play interesting games. They have taken a great interest in English now.
3.Teaching Aims:
A.Knowledge Aims
a.To enable the students to understand and say the new words: go, stop, wait, slow down.
b.To make the students know how to use the sentence “...must...” to give advise or express traffic rules.
B.Ability Aims
a.To develop the students’ abilities, especially listening and speaking ability.
b.To develop the students’ abilities of communication by learning the words and structures.
c.To train the students’ ability of cooperation.
C.Emotional Aims
a.To enable the students to love English learning.
b.To develop the students’ consciousness of cooperation.
c.To enable the students to obey the traffic rules in daily life.
4.Teaching Key and Difficult Points:
Enable students to understand and speak the new words:go, stop, wait, slow down.
B.Enable students to understand how to use the words and sentences for communication.
