工程制图基础 出版社 国际合作部 Any machine is assembled with many parts (零件). A part is a basic unit to make a machine. A detail drawing is the drawing of a single part, giving a complete and exact description of its shape, dimensions and the desired technical requirements.  This chapter includes contents of a detail drawing, selecting views for a detail drawing as well as technical requirements in machining. Chapter 9 Detail Drawings(零件图) * Besides, typical parts detail drawings will be introduced. Lastly, the method for reading a detail drawing is illustrated. * Detail drawings are important technical documents that embody the designers’ ideas. A successful detail drawing will tell the workers simply and directly the shape, size, material; what shop operations are necessary; what limits of accuracy must be observed. Based on it, manufacturing and inspecting a part can be carried out. Fig.9.1 is a detail drawing of transmission shaft (传动轴). Lets take it as an example to illustrate what contents a detail drawing should include. 9.1 Contents * Fig.9.1 Detail drawing of transmission shaft. * Figures Some figures such as views, sections, cross sections and zoom views are used to reveal the outside and inside structures of a part clearly and precisely. Dimensions All necessary dimensions for manufacturing and inspecting a part, including dimension datums (基准) in width, depth and height, location dimensions and size dimensions as well as general dimensions and so on. * Technical requirements Technical requirements in manufacturing includes surface roughness, tolerance and heat treatment and so on. Among them, surface roughness is more important since finished surfaces should be pointed out and all necessary shop (车间) operations shown in detail drawing.
