At Unit one, we learned the Silk Road, and we learned asking for permission, showing intention, talking about distance, we know Jenny and Danny traveled along the Silk Road, in this unit, what we will learn? Step 2. Lead in.(引入) Greet the students in English and make sure they can response correctly. We knew Jenny and Danny had a trip to China along the Silk Road last unit, now, we will learn their trip’s tips. How do they think about the history and culture of China? Step 3. New lesson.(新课) No. 1 Text: (1) Teach the new words and expressions: project, interest, still, anywhere, joke, places of interest, talk about, make a joke, work on, Good idea. Write them on the blackboard. Then demand the Ss learn the text by themselves first. (2) Ask the students to discuss the questions: What is Danny’s project about? What is Danny’s joke? What is the Silk Road about? (3) Explain the language points . No. 2 grammar: Simple Past Tense, Regular and Irregular Verbs. Irregular Verbs: sleep—slept have—had see—saw do—did Regular Verbs: learn-learned hear-heard Step 4. Play the tape for the Ss to follow. Make the Ss listen the text, then let them read follow the tape. Step 5.Su
