Abstract : Based upon the results from database searching, this paper argues that
although in formal written gene, zonghezheng has an overtly advantage,
especially in medical discipline, but in social and humanity discipline and daily life
use, zonghezheng is still a powerful competitor with sound supporting
from the meaning of the character. This paper suggests that zonghezheng
can be defined as a standard medical term while both zonghezheng and
zonghezheng can be treated as different forms of same word in metaphorical
use.
