First, the research method of g iving the way to ob jective gradually is selected and the model of optimization is developed. Second, four objects, that is, the population carry ing capacity, the output of cereals, the output value of industry and business as well as the loss of water and ero sion of soil, are established. Meanwhile, the research method obove is applied to give premium analy sis of w ater envi r onmental population car rying capacity in Miyun Reser voir Area. Finally, the advantag es of the resear ch method are analyzed and the present situation of population carrying capacity in Miyun Reservoir Area is pointed out.
