Would(会不会) If I were you, I would accept her present. 2. Could(能不能) Given more time, the director could have made a better film. 3. Should /Ought to(该不该) The flowers are dead. I should have given it more water. 4. Might(也许) If you hadn’t reminded me, I might have forgotten. 5. Needn’t(本不必) It was so near. We needn’t have taken a taxi. 七个典型句式 1. If only she had a car. If only she had known the answer then. 2. She feels as if she had a fever. They talked as if they had been friends for years. 3. I’d rather I hadn’t told you that. 4. It is time that we went to school. 5. But for his help, we wouldn’t have finished it so soon. 6. Had you followed the doctor’s advice, you would be well now. 7.
