By u sing py ram id stru cture of the codebook and Cau chySchw ar z inequ ality, a condition o f removing unnecessary m atching operations from the search procedure w as derived , then the fast search ar ithm etic is proposed b ased on this removing co ndition . Exp er im ent results show th at the proposed search algor ithm signif icantly redu ces the encoding complex ity as keeping the sam e encoding qu ality as th at of full search arithm etic. T he compariso n of proposed algorithm w it h ex ist ing search algorithm in the number of operation and memory space is given .
