Survey of Britain and America英美概况 The United Kingdom Chapter I A Brief Introduction to Physical Geography The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is situated in Northwestern Europe, lying to the north of France and the west of the Netherlands and Denmark. England Occupies the southern portion of Great Britain, with an area of 130400 square kilometers, the most important part of the Kingdom in wealth, size and population. Wales On the western prominence between the Bristol Channel and the Dee estuary, with the area of 20800 square kilometers. Scotland With an area of 78800 square kilometers, occupies the northern portion of Great Britain.
