Period 1 Section A 1a-2c Teaching Aims: Knowledge Aims: Ss will learn some new words, such as “yard sale, sweet, memories, toy, bear, maker, scarf, board, cent ”; Ss will know so me new phrases, such as “over there, bring back, give away, check out”; Ss will learn n ew structures, such as “How long have you had that bike over there?”, “How long has his son owned the train and railway set?”. Ability Aims: Ss can use the new words and phrases freely; Ss can use the new structures to talk about their possessions and things around them; Ss can improve their speaking and listening ability. Emotional Aims: Ss will know how to deal with old things; Ss will learn to make good use of old things they do not use any more; Ss will learn to help poor people; Teaching Important Points: Ss will master the key words and phrases in this passage; Ss can use new learned words and structures to talk about possessions; Teaching Difficult Points: Ss can talk about possessions and things around them freely; Ss can improve their ability of speaking and listening.
