Measure Of the problem or defect and the measurement accuracy of the tool used to determine it ? Analyze What variables can be shown to cause the problem or defect ? Improve How can I set the variables to reduce the problem or defect level ? Control How can we make sure the process stays fixed ? We implement these fundamentals by selecting and training champions, master black belts and blackbelts, defining key problem areas, assigning projects to blackbelts in those problem areas, and obtaining and reporting the results. In pursuing these objectives we have made significant organizational, management, operating and process changes during the last year.
