Love is what matters in life —film review of COCO Thought-provoking. If someday I am asked to use a word to make a conclusion about the film COCO, it would be my choice. A good film can not only attract people, but also bring them a host of feelings that they never had before, and on my personal note, COCO can meet this standard. COCO is a story about a little boy Miguel and his families. Miguel lived in a warm and big family which consider making shoes as its family business and hates music as a consequence of a defection about Miguel’s great-great-grandfather who used to be a musician and left his family for chasing dream. Differing from his families, Miguel is fond of music and aimed to be a musician like Ernesto de la Cruz who is a renowned singer when he was alive and possessed many fans. However, one day in accident, the door of the land of the dead was opened by Miguel and he met his families’ souls there who endeavored to send him back to the real world. Surprisingly, Miguel detected that Ernesto de la Cruz is a thief and murderer who stole his grand-grand-father’s song and murdered him. Thankfully, Miguel was the winner in the competition between him and de la Cruz. He saved his grand-grand-father and was sent to the real world. The real death is that no one in the world remembers you. This is a classic line in the movie, which is always seen as a question about the implication of real death and make many people discuss it together and be in deep thought. However, according to the whole movie, the connotation of remember seems to be more significant than real death in my heart, since remember represents a bond of love between human. It is the same in other lines such as Remember me before the memory of love disappears. From the bottom of my heart, the deepest impression the film gave to me is that love, as a bond of everyone in the world, is the real matter that we need to cherish.
