英语寓言故事一:The one-eyed doe 一只眼睛的母鹿
A doe had lost one of her eyes, and could not see anyone
approaching her from one side.
In order to avoid any danger, she always ate on a high cliff near
the sea, and looked at the land with her good eye when she was eating.
By this means she could see whenever the hunters approached
her on land.
But one hunter found out that she was blind in one eye. He rowed
a boat under the cliff, and shot her from the sea.

有头瞎了一只眼睛的母鹿,没有办法看到从瞎了的那只眼的
方向靠近她的东西。
为了躲避危险, (范文网 ) 她总是在海边的
一处高崖上吃草。在她吃东西的时候,她用那只好的眼睛注视着陆地。
用这种方法,她防备来自陆地上的猎人的袭击。
但是一个猎人发现她的一只眼睛是瞎的,就划着船从海上将
她射杀了。
寓意: 人们常常对容易预见的危险严加防范,却忽视 自认为
很安全的方面。
英语寓言故事二:鸽子和蚂蚁
An ant was drinking at a river. Suddenly he slipped, and fell into
the water.
A dove took pity on him. She threw a small branch into the river.
The ant seized the bough, and swam back to the shore.
A few days later, the ant saw a hunter aiming a gun at the dove.
He bit the man in the foot sharply.
The man missed the shot, and the doves life was saved.
The dove felt very grateful. She made good friends with the ant.

一只鸽子看见,扔下一段树枝,将他救起。
过了不久,蚂蚁看见猎人正在拿枪瞄准鸽子,就狠狠地朝他脚

英语寓言故事三:一颗小苹果树
A man walking in the night slipped from a rock. Afraid that he
would fall down thousands of feet, because he knew that place was a very
deep valley, he took hold of a branch that was hanging over the rock. In
the night all he couls see was a bottomless abyss. He shouted, his own
shout reflected back--there was nobody to hear.
