(4) 消息中的背景材料 (News Background Information)
英文报纸中的常见的新闻背景可大致分为对比性材料 (Contrast Background) 、说明性材料
(Interpretative Background) 和注释性材料 (Explanatory Background) 三种。
对比性材料 (Contrast Background) ：
这类新闻背景对新闻事实起这对比与衬托的作用， 犹如照片的背景对于照片的主体一样，衬出新闻事实的重要意义，突出新闻的价值或深化新闻的主题。如：
