Never Fail to Live up to Our Delicacy and Authentic Love —— Movie Review After Watching Toast “No matter how bad things get, you seem impossible not to love someone who made you toast.” That’s the most impressive line in the movie Toast. Young Nigel Slater’s mother was never a good cook, she couldn’t even cook simple soup, so the family often ate toast. After the mother had died of asthma attack, the new cleaner named Ms. Potter who was good at cooking seized Nigel’s father’s stomach and then turned his stepmother. Conflicts had grown since the love of Nigel’s father was limited. To be the winner of love, Nigel and Ms. Potter launched a cooking war. After watching, I want to thumbs up for the movie. Now I want to share my opinions with you all. The most appropriate sentence to describe my feeling is the well-known one: Never fail to live up to our delicacy and authentic love. Thus, I will embark on my point of view from two aspects: food and love. When it comes to British, many people will think of the phrase: dark cooking, and so do I. However, the delicacy in the movie have refreshed my opinion, holding my eyesight tightly. Lemon Meringue, the favourite dessert of Nigel’s father, transported a feeling of satisfaction to me with its bright colour and attractive sizzle. Minced pie, traditional food for Christmas, was so sorry that Nigel’s mother had promised to teach him how to make it, but eventually failed because of her death. Scone, Nigel’s first production, was looked like a stone but really delicious with a cup of tea. Pork pie, to be honest, I don’t think it eatable since it’s so strange to mix up frozen pork with flour. Shepherd’s pie, also called cottage pie, included lots of vegetables such as potato, onion, carrots, corn and tomato. Though it’s high-calorie food, it’s tasty. Last but not the least, the toast, which created by Nigel’s worse-cooking mother, was always his love. As Nigel said, “Once you’ve bitten through that crusty surface to the soft unde
