This is an English-Chinese dictionary. 2. The dinner smells good. 3. He fell in love. 4. My job is to teach you English. 5. The question is who will do it. 小结：放在 系动词 之后 注意： 表语常由名词、形容词、介词短语、 不定式、从句等来充当。 5 什么是表语从句呢？ The question is who will do it. 表语从句放在连系动词之后，充 当复合句中的表语。 表语从句 The question is it. 6 表语从句构成 His suggestion is that we should stay calm. That is why she was late. （系动词） + 引导词 + 简单句 主语 + 7 找表语从句 1 The trouble is that I have lost her address. 2 My question is whether he left ( or not ). 3 My suggestion is that we (should) start early tomorrow. 4 The problem is who we can get to take the place of John. 5 The question is who will do it. 小结：放在 系动词 之后 8 连接词： that / whether /as if /as though 连接代词： who / whom / whose / which / what 连接副词： when / where / why / how / because 引导词 9 that The fact is that our team has won the game. 1 ） that 在从句中不担任句子成分，无实际意义，一般 不能省略 2) 主 语 是 “ 建 议 ， 劝 说 ， 命 令 ” 的 名 词 ， 如 idea, suggestion, proposal, order, request, 表语从句中谓语动 词用“ should + 动词原形 ”， should 可省略 我的建议是我们明天早点离开。 My suggestion is that we (should) leave early tomorrow. 连接词： that / whether /as if /as though 10 Whether 是否 The question is whether it is worth doing. 注意： if 不能引导表语从句 连接词： that / whether /as if /as though 11 as if, as though 好像，似乎 常置于连系动词 look, seem, sound, is, become 等后面 It+ 连系动词（ look/seem/appear …… ） +that/as if 从句 看起来似乎 … 他似乎知道所有事情。 It seems as if he knows everything. 连接词： that / whether /as if /as though 12 It sounds as if/though somebody was knocking at the door. as if/as though 引导的表语从句如果是 事实 ，就用 陈述语气 ， 如果 与事实不符 , 就用 虚拟语气 It
