Shenzhen Urban Transport Planning Center Co., Ltd./Shenzhen Key Laboratory of Transport Information Transport Engineering, China Abstract: Traffic plan and design is being refined, for which the proposal must be assessed in a quantitative way through many macro and micro indicators. This paper, based on assessment and improvement of refined traffic design and traffic impact, is intended to study and apply a new model system to realize a flexible meso-scopic traffic model method that “integrates static and dynamic assignment and represents overall meso-scopic and partially microscopic”. The method will enable a balance between efficiency and accuracy to achieve quantitative assessment of various indicators for refined traffic design. Practice shows that the flexible meso-scopic traffic model method helps to avoid repetitive building of macro and micro models, simplify model research and development process and strongly support refined traffic design multiple-scheme decision making.
