Chinese doctor-patient relationship status On March 23, 2012, a manrushed into the doctors office of the First Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical University, stabbed to death a person on the spot and wound three because he is not satisfied with the treatment effect. In the recent years, as peoples living standards improve, the demand for medical and health is growing, but Chinas lack of medical resources, and the allocation is grossly unfair. Therefore, hospitals and doctors has become the target of public criticism. So, we have heard too manymedical disputes. Slapstick, slaughtered doctors, and other bloody crimes are emerging. The relationship between doctors and patients becomes more and more nervous. What led to this situation? It must have manyfactors. From my view, there are mainly three aspects. They are doctor, patient and society. To the doctors, part of health workers has the deviation of the value orientation. And their ethics is becoming poorer. Saving lives is a noble and sacred work originally. But today, for the pursuit of economic benefits, many doctors ask for red envelopes to patients and their families. This phenomenon is particularly severe in the surgical. Sometimes patients even need the red envelope to give physician and interns who participate in the surgery. It will r educe patient ’s trust in doctors. They may consider that the doctors would not do operation carefully and seriously if they do not give enough red envelope. Doctors who received gifts will have a greater mental stress during surgery. Once it has an accident, disputes between doctors and patients will be more serious. In addition, doctors rely heavily on the instrument treatment. And they neglect the communication with the patient. Second, in terms of the patient, their expectations of hospitals and doctors are too high. Many patients believe that the hospital likes the safe.
