Railway signal is a general term for manual, automatic and distance control measures that ensure the safety of railway operation and increase traffic volumes in different sections and stations of the railway transportation system. （2） The classification of railway signal 2.1 Classification of railway signal by senses Acoustic signal Visual signal （2） The classification of railway signal 2.1.1 Acoustic signal Acoustic signal is also called audible signal, conveying different meanings with sounds of different intensity, frequency and duration. Sounds made with the whistle of locomotives and rail cars, train horns, mouth flutes and detonators are all acoustic signals.
