Fake Products are Harmful Nowadays, the harmfulness of fake commodities attracts more and more our attention. The fake products, such as tonyred, poisonous milk, false honey and false fungus and so on, were usually exposed on TV. They might result in a series of problems. It has a bad effect on our lives, and impairs peoples healthy, and it would influence the development of economy and society. First of all, fake commodities will undoubtedly do harm to the individual. The consumers are the direct victims. For instance, fake medicines not only aggravate patients’ condition, but also tend to threaten their life , what’s worse, to result in people death. Fake commodities are usually of very poor quality, which often do harm to consumers. I have heard so many cases that fake commodities resulted in death.  In addition, fake products are extremely harmful to society. For example, the 1998 fatal alcohol poisoning case in shanxi province. By adding methanol to water, a peasant produced “alcohol”, dreaming of being rich overnight, with 27 people killed and aroung 700 poisoned, caused great sufferings to victims and shocked the whole country as well. Besides, they will ruin the good reputation of products and disturb the balance of the market. Fame and reputation is the most important for businesses. Once a brand was exposed of fake, that means, it will not be trusted, even the company will also face closure.
