S1: I learn English by doing… T: How does he/she learn English? S2: He learns English by doing… S3: She learns English by doing… 【设计意图】展开师生、学生之间的交流，复习上节课学习过的句型。 Step 2 Pre-reading 1. Work in pairs. Talk about the following questions. (1) Do you think English is a difficult subject? (2) What makes it difficult for you to learn English? (3) Which gives you a headache: understanding English, vocabulary, grammar, listening, speaking, reading or writing? 2. Read again and complete the sentences. 【设计意图】阅读训练，首先让学生认真阅读题目，了解所要干的事情，之后带着问题进行阅读，提高阅读效率。 Step 4 Post-reading Fill in the blanks and retell the passage. 【设计意图】通过文章构架让学生学会摘取文章信息，同时复述全文有利于提高学生的口语表达能力。 Language points 1. The teacher spoke so quickly that I did not understand her most of the time. 老师说的如此地快以至于大部分时间我都不能明白她。 so…that… 意为“如此……以至于……” so是副词，常常用来修饰形容词和副词，that引导结果状语从句。 e.g. Tim spoke so fast that we couldn’t understand him. 2. I was afraid to ask questions because of my
