Lesson type: Review Ⅱ.Students: From Grade 9 Ⅲ.Teaching contents: Four kinds of tenses (Present Simple,Present Continuous,Past Simple,Past Continuous) Ⅳ.Teaching aims: 1.Knowledge aims:Be able to understand how to use each of the four tenses,and know the differences of them. 2.Skill aims:Be able to find out the key parts which are helpful to choose a proper tense.Be able to use the tenses correctly in daily communication. 3.Emotional aims:Be able to be confident and active. Learn to work with others and keep trying. Ⅴ.Key points:Master the structures and uses of the four tenses. Difficult points:Distinguish the four tenses and be able to use them correctly when communicating. Ⅵ.Teaching and learning methods:Communicative teaching method, audio-visual teaching method, task-based teaching method and cooperative learning method. Ⅶ.Teaching strategies: 1.Begin reviewing each tense according to some pictures or flashes.When reviewing each tense,there are 3 parts,including the structure ,the use and sentence making. 2.When reviewing the last 2 tenses, students are required to work in pairs to discuss the uses and the structures and share their results. 3.Students need to say the structures of the four tenses aloud together when the teacher is writing on the blackboard. 4.Students practice more through three types of excercises which are similar to those in exams. 5.End the class by encouraging students to practice more in daily life and try their best to do well in learning English.
