7A Unit 8 Fashion Reading II 教学设计
教学目标
By the end of this lesson, students will be able to
1. master the new words and phrases.
2. use the words and expressions about clothes properly.
3. find and enjoy the beauty of clothes and be brave to try different roles in their lives. such as a model, host, dresser, designer and even inventor.
教学内容
Words: lady, gentleman, comfortable, popular
Phrases: sports clothes, both....and…,be popular among…
Sentences : Trainers are light and comfortable and are popular among young people.
Here comes Simon. Both Amy and Daniel look cool. Thanks for doing sth….
教学过程
Step 1 . Lead-in
Watch a short video about clothes and sing the clothes song.
【设计意图】用轻松愉快的服装歌曲,帮助学生回想起Reading 1 所学的关于服装的词 汇,激发学生更深入地学习有关服装的新内容的动机,积极进入本节课的学习状态。
接下来,watch a fashion show which is given by the students in our class. (在学习Reading I的时候,就有学生想要举行一个时装展,在开始时,就给他们舞台让他们展示自我,与结果相比,我觉得他们准备的过程和在台上的体验更重要。)
【设计意图】这几个孩子平时的英语成绩并不是很突出,但这并不要紧,主要是培养孩子们勇于尝试,不要害怕犯错或者做不好,在不断的尝试中,孩子们得到丰富的生活体验,英语学习也会对他们而言,有了更加深刻的内涵,以提高他们的综合素养。
时装秀结束时,T: Are they good models?
Ss: Yes, they are.
T: How does a model usually look?
Ss: A model usually looks tall/ modern/ beautiful/ strong …
T: So if you want to be a model, you should exercise more to keep yourself slim/ strong …And is she a good host?
Thinking 1: What makes a good host?
Ss: To be a good host, we should be confident / we should stand straight…
老师让所有的学生起立,想象自己正在主持节目,台词就是Reading短文。然后请两位同学给我们演示一下。可以以文章中的人物,也可以即兴选择班级里的人为模特。
【设计意图】让学生自己体验主持一个时装秀的感觉的同时,熟悉文本。在“做”的过程中,提高自己的语言素养。
