一、英语教学设计
The target material is a reading passage from Unit6 When was it invented(3a)? The passage is about the invention and the history of tea. This passage is for students to have a deeper understanding about “an accidental invention”.And the students can learn about Chinese tea culture;They can also learn or retell sth with the mind maps.
Student analysis:
Students have known something about tea. But they maybe don’t know about the history of tea.
Students have difficulties in reading words and the past tense in the passive voice.
English Curriculum Standards:
According to English Curriculum Standards, when students graduate from junior high school, they should have the ability to guess the meanings of new words based on the context and knowledge about vocabulary; they should also be able to know the main idea and structure of the passage; Different reading strategies should be used for getting different kinds of information.
Teaching Aims
Knowledge aims:
With the help of the meanings in the context and the explanation of the teacher, students are able to guess the meanings of important news words including by accident,remain,smell,take place etc.
2. Reading strategies: With the guidance of teacher, students are able to
① use different strategies to get different information.
② know the structure and the main ideas of the passage
Ability aims: By learning about an accidental invention (Shen Nong invented tea by accident and the introduction of Cha Jing by Lu Yu and the spread of the tea)in the passage, students are able to
Know how to learn about the history of sth,such as tea including the invention and the development.
Learn how to learn or retell sth with the mind map.
Emotion aims: by learning the passage, students know about they should think about sth more and change wisely..
