(a) Explain the organization culture in JD Wetherspoon in terms of “shared valued
and “taken for granted assumptions ” in an organization. You should illustrate your
explanation with ONE example of each element from the case study. For each
example, you should say why it illustrates this aspect of organizational culture.
Organizational culture consists of Artefacts, Espousedvalues and Basic underlying
assumptions. Espoused values include strategies, goals, slogans, mission statements,
etc, expressedby the members of the organization. Basic underlying assumptions
include unconscious taken for granted beliefs, thoughts, perception, etc-the source of
values and action. For examples, the company motto of JD Whetherspoon is
‘cleanliness, beer, service and maintenance ’isting of the motto, all the. Because of ex

value that people in this company are important. Another aspect of organization
