Yes, he must. / No, he neednt. 2) 表猜想，如： He must be over forty. 二、课文主要语言点 My aunt Jennifer is an actress. 1)Jennifer 是 my aunt 的同 位语，其补充说明作用。注意 aunt 存有英美语发音上的差异。 2)actress ，女演员。原形为 act ，表示表演。 actor ，男演员。 She must be at least thirty-five years old. 1) 表猜想，是对 she 当前的年龄的猜想，所以直接使用了 式。 2)at least ，最少。相反的表达为： at most 。  句中的 must be  must 的形 In spite of this, she often appears on the stage as a young girl. 1)in spite of ，即使，是个介词短语，后边不能够接句子。 2)appear on the stage ，在舞台上表演。 3)as ，表示作为、担当。 Jennifer will have to take part in a new play soon. 1)will have to ，表示她将不得不。 2)take part in  ，参加。 This time, she will be a girl of seventeen. 1)this time  后 面用逗号分开，起到重申作用，突显此次她要扮演的角色。  2)a girl of seventeen ，十七岁的女孩。近似的表达有： a boy of seven 。 In the play, she must appear in a bright red dress and long black stockings. 1)in+ 衣服，表示穿着 ... 衣服。 2)bright red ，鲜红色。 Last year in another play, she had to wear short socks and a bright, orange-coloured dress. 1) 注意 wear( 穿着，重申状 态) 与 put on( 也能够直接用  穿上，重申换作 orange 来表示。  ) 的差异。  2)orange-coloured ，橙色的。 If anyone ever asks her how old she is, she always answers, Darling, it must be terrible to be grown up! 1)if anyone ever asks her how old she is ，注意句中的 how old she is 的语序，诚然是问句，但因为用在宾语从句中，所以要用陈述句语序。 2)it must be terrible to be grown up  ，must 表猜想。  grown up ， 成熟的、成人的。 三、读写重点 注意解读 Jennifer terrible to be grown up!  最后的一句话“ Darling, it must be ”，表达出了 Jennifer 害怕青春逝去的担 心
