Prep Directions
Print and laminate pages 3 – 17 on cardstock. Cut the cards out on pages 7, 16, and 17, and place a
small piece of Velcro (rough side) on the back of each one. Now place a small piece of Velcro
(fuzzy side) on each dot on the sequencing mats. Take the four or five cards that go with each
mat and place them on one row of Velcro….OUT OF ORDER! You do not want them to be in order as
this is the task the student will complete.
EXAMPLE:
Now they are ready to use. Students will read each step, or have it read to them, and transfer
the correct picture up to the first row, or down to the second row; placing the events in order.
Some students may not need the support of reading the steps and may be able to sequence the
events by simply looking at the pictures.

3. Then, she uses tape to wrap her present.
4. Last, she ties a bow on the present.

1. First, they put the lights on.

3. Then, they put the star on top.
4. Last, they admire their decorated tree.
