STATEMENT OF PRINCIPLES AND METHODS TO BE USED TO DETERMINE CHARGES FOR GAS DISTRIBUTION CONNECTION SERVICES FOR NORTH WEST, WEST MIDLANDS, EAST OF ENGLAND AND LONDON DISTRIBUTION NETWORKS Effective date – 5 October 2005 Introduction This is a statement of the principles on which, and the methods by which Transco 1 plc will determine connection charges, pursuant to Standard Condition 4B of the Gas Transporter Licence. The Statement applies to charges determined from the Statement Effective Date, until superseded by any future Statement. In addition it sets out the basis of our charges for the alteration and disconnection of connection apparatus. It also includes some information about capacity availability and meter housings. • Section 1 describes the principles that we have adopted in respect of our connection charging regime. • Section 2 outlines the methodology that shall be adopted to determine our connection charges. • Section 3 contains connection charging examples that are required by Standard Condition 4B. • Section 4 sets out the basis for disconnection and connection alteration services that we provide and how they are charged. • Annex A includes a number of key definitions. • Annex B contains contact information. • Annex C provides some additional information relating to the availability and allocation of capacity. • Annex D outlines our obligations in respect of meter housings / boxes together with the pricing methodology that will be applied to these. • Annex E lists those obstacles that have the potential to make a project “Sufficiently Complex”.
