1.Figure out different natural disasters.
Discuss what people should do when there is a natural disaster.
1.Show some pictures of natural disasters.
Guide ss to finish part A.
Help ss get a clear view of different natural disasters.
第二环节:了解主阅读篇章的体裁和结构
Step 2 Reading
1.Pre-reading.
2.While-reading
Read to get the main idea by skimming, scanning and task-reading.
Step 3 Read after the CD
2.(1)Look at the pictures, the title.
(2)Read the passage and get the main idea.
Divide the passage into 3 parts.
Part1: Before the dream
Part2: During the dream
Part3: After the dream
Read the passage paragraph by paragraph and know about the articles form.
(3)Finish the exercises on P53 after skimming the text.
(4)Think about the moral of Kevins story.
3.Read the text with right pronunciation and intonation.

(2)Ask students to listen to skim to get the required information.
(3)Ask students to finish the exercises on book after skimming the text.
