会计学 1 第四 RelationshipBetweenPersonMachineEnvironment安全学原理段振伟 2 2.1 Relationship between person,machine,environment, procedures and materials 2 Issues in the work environment affecting employee well-being There are five key overlapping elements in the work system: people, machines (or equipment), work environment, procedures, and materials. This section deals with these factors that make up a work system and how these factors have an effect on accident causation. Before considering the delicate relationship between these factors, it is worth reflecting on the point that little thought was given to the relationship between persons and machines until relatively recent times. In this context the word ‘machine’ holds for any piece of equipment used to perform work. Consequently, the golf club and shovel are in this sense as much machines as the car we drive or the lathe and drill we work with. 第1页/共8页 3 2.1 Relationship between person,machine,environment, procedures and materials 2 Issues in the work environment affecting employee well-being When operating a machine a person receives information on the machine mainly through the senses of eyes, ears and touch. When information is received by a person it is processed to arrive at a decision. The information received will combine with the knowledge gained by past experiences that have been stored away in the memory. The decisions that result out of this combination of information will vary from simple responses, made automatically, to those that require a high degree of reasoning and care. Having arrived at a decision a person may then take action. The machine receives these commands and produces some work; the machine will then inform the operator of what is happening by displaying further information.
