North China Coal Medical College，Tangshan 063000，China） Abstract： ［Objective］ To explore the relatiohip of chromosome aberration in peripheral lymphocyte and the abnormal hemogram for X-ray worke. ［Methods］ 240 X-ray worke with abnormal chromosome exposed to radiation were selected as cases and 937 X-ray worke with normal chromosome as controls. Hemogram were analysed by routine method，chromosome were examined using the whole blood of tiny culture method. The software package was used for statistic analysis.［Results］The mean of white blood cell count in the case group was lower than that of the control group，while the mean of WSC count was higher than that of the controls，both had significant difference（P ）. There was positive correlation between the rate of chromosome aberration and WSC count（P ）. The rate of abnormal WBC count in the case group was significant higher than that of the control group（P ）. ［Conclusion］ The blood system in X-ray worke with chromosome aberration was more harmful than those without aberration. Their rate of abnormal WBC count was increased. A relatiohip existed between chromosome aberration and the abnormal hemogram.
