It supersedes BS EN 50128:2011+A1:2020, which is withdrawn. It should be noted that this standard is presently undergoing further revision to expand its remit to cover software applications within the context of the whole railway system, including, but not limited to, rolling stock, fixed installations as well as signalling systems. When revised it is planned that EN 50128 will become a part of the new suite of EN 50126 railway standards.
