1. arrange a two-day visit to their hometown;
2. write an email to inform foreign guests of the travel plan;
3. improve their learning ability by evaluating the writing.

Step 1 Lead-in
T asks Ss to read the email from a foreign teacher.
Ms Zhao,
How is everything going? We haven’t seen each other for a long time, and I miss you very much. I’m writing to you to tell an important thing. Fifty teachers from Boston are coming to your hometown next month. The teachers group will attend a conference and give some lectures as well. They also want to visit your school to learn about Chinese methods of education. We will stay in your hometown for five days in total, we will spend three days working and then we will have two days to explore your hometown. I’d like you to make a two-day travel plan for our teachers. They are eager to experience the beauty of your hometown.
