知识与能力目标
⑴ The students can say the names of body parts and talk about body parts in English.
⑵ 认读单词:stamp, computer, shall, arm.
⑶ 能够熟练运用句型:There is a small monster.
There are two big monsters.
能够运用句型说明事物的存在和数量。
2学情分析
四上的孩子已经掌握了身体部位名称,数量词和简单的there be句型的口语表达,具有一定的英语语感,有一定的学习英语的兴趣和自信心。
3重点难点
⑴ 重点:掌握新单词,了解新句型,在此基础上理解课文内容。
⑵ 难点:能利用句型和学过的知识描述说明事物的存在和数量。

活动1【导入】Warm up and lead in
Warm up
1. Chant Book1: Head, shoulder, knees and toes.
2. Greeting
3. Free talk:
T: What’s …like?
S1: He’s very….
T: Do you like a snowman?
S2: Yes, I do. No, I don’t.
设计意图:利用歌曲和真实的语言环境,引起学生兴趣,为导入做准备。
活动2【讲授】Presentation
1. T: Watch the screen and ask: What are they?
S: They are pictures. Or they are posters.
T: Yes, they are posters. Daming has got a poster. Do you want to see it?
S: Yes.
2. Watch the cartoon for the first time and solve 3 questions. And then have the students answer the question.
questions:1). How many hands are there?
2). How many arms are there?
3).How many legs and how many feet?
3. Listen and circle “There is, there are”.
After listening, ask students to read the sentences with them:
There is a small monster.
There are twenty-four hands.
There are fifteen arms.
活动3【练习】practice
4. The teacher plays the tape again. And have the students read after it.
5. Have the students imitate the dialogue.
6. Look at the pictures and talk about them.
