Unit 2 Exploring English Starting Out Understanding Ideas 教学设计 教学目标 1. learn what a passage is about with the help of the title and the pictures. 2.learn the authors writing purpose and the text structure. 3.learn to get specific information。 教学内容 教学重点: 1.get the writing purpose of the text and locate specific information. 2.understand the structure of the text. 教学难点: 1.locate specific information in limited time. 2.use reading strategies properly. 教学过程 Step 1:leading in show some Chinese food(老婆饼,麻婆豆腐,鱼香肉丝) that may cause misunderstandings. Step 2 :before reading let ss guess what the text is about with the help of the title and the pictures. Step 3: while reading 1.read the text quickly and then finish activity 1 on page 18 to check your prediction. 2.choose the author’s purpose in writing the passage. 3.learn the text structure.(总分总) Part 1 :(paragrahy 1)Topic English is a crazy language to learn. Part 2 :(paragrahy 2-6)Examples examples that show English is a crazy language to learn. Part 3 :(paragrahy 7) Conclusion English was invented by people and it reflects the creativity of the human race. 4.complete the notes with words from the passage. (activity 4,page21) Step 4 after reading(important sentences) Have you ever asked yourself why people often have trouble learning English? (1)why引导宾语从句,主句为现在完成时的一般疑问句。 (2)在why引导的宾语从句中, have trouble (in) doing sth 意为做某事有困难,其中doing前面的in可以省略, trouble 为不可数名词, 前面可用some, any,no,little 等词修饰。类似用法还有: have difficulty/problems/trouble with sth/in doing sth That is why when the stars are out, they are visible, but when the lights are out, they are invisible. That /This is why ...意为那/这是的原因,其中why引导表语从句,表示结果。 (1).That/This /It is because ...意为那/这是因为,其中because 引导表语从句,表示原因。 (2).The reason why...is/was that...意为的原因是,其中why引导定语从句并在从句中作状语, that 引导表语从句,表示原因。 Step 5: Homework find more expressions that may cause misunderstandings on the Internet.(ChineseEnglish) 备注:教学设计应至少含教学目标、教学内容、教学过程等三个部分,如有其它内容,可自行补充增加。
