Unit 8 My dad is a doctor说课稿 My teaching content is the first period of Unit8My dad is a doctor,from book 2A.The topic of this unit is “Jobs”. After this unit, students should be able to talk about their parents’ jobs. As the first period of this unit, the story is the main carrier of the teaching focus and new knowledge, so it’s quite important to raise Ss’ interest and get them involved in class. As for my target learners, they are grade two students who are curious about learning English and be willing to take part in learning activities. Here come my teaching aims. Considering the National Standard of Curriculum, the content of the lesson and the level of the students, students should achieve the following aims: First, the aim of knowledge: 1. Students can understand, read, say and write the words: cook, doctor, teacher, nurse, farmer, worker 2..Students can master the sentence pattern: My dad/mum is … She’s/ He’s… Second, the aim of ability: 1. Ss can be able to read the story fluently, and try their best to act 2. Ss can talk about their parents’ jobs. Third, the aim of emotion. Ss can realize the difference of their parents’ jobs and be proud of their parents; they may also develop interest in several jobs and work hard for it in future My teaching focus of this lesson is: 1. Students can understand, read, say and write the words: cook, doctor, teacher, nurse, farmer, worker; 2. Students can read and act the Story Time. My teaching difficulties is ensuring that students can master the sentence pattern: My dad/mum is … She’s/ He’s…To break through my teaching focus and difficulties, I’d prefer to adopt the task-based language teaching method and the Communicative approach. As for my teaching aids, the multimedia computer, the blackboard and some pictures will be used to make my class more vivid. Then, Ill talk about the teaching procedures, including five steps. Step 1. Warming up Firstly, I’ll greet with Ss and make them get involved in the English speaking
