1. Master the strategies of guessing the meaning of words from context, and learn how to use the language in new context.
2. During pre-reading, some questions related to virtual reality are delivered to help students make better preparations for reading the dialogue.
3. In while-reading, fast-reading and careful reading activities are employed to make students think independently and cooperatively.

7.1.1教学目标
◆Teaching Procedures:
Step I: Pre -reading
Lead -in activities
1. Exchange greetings with the Ss and arouse the students’ interest in saying something about what they know about virtual reality.
2 Show a short video to students to enable them fully understand what is virtual reality and its practical uses in our study and life.
Step II While-reading
Part one: Scanning
1. Ask the Ss to scan the passage to find out how many virtual reality situations are mentioned in the dialogue? What are they?
Part two: Reading for details
1. Match the words or expressions with the correct meaning.
The teacher guide the Ss to look at the word on the screen, then students have to match the words or expressions with the correct meaning.

③destination ( L22) c. the name of a book or a passage
