SiO2 aerogels w ere produced from T EOS as silico resources by sol-gel method a d surface modificatio at ambie t 2 pressure. Fourier tra sform i frared spectrometer ( FT-IR) results show ed that the SiO aerogels had good hydrophobic property. It is discovered that SiO2 aerogels have better properties w he the surface modificatio co ditio is: at U( T MCS) = 6 % of hexa e, surface modificatio time 24 hours.
