单元语法小专题 (Grammar Focus);suppose的用法总结 suppose作为动词，其意思是“猜想，设想，认为，假设”，其常见用法为: 1. be supposed to do sth.意思是“被期望做某事；应该做某事”，to是不定式符号，不是介词，后接动词原形。be supposed to常用来表示劝告、建议、 告知义务或责任等，相当于should。如: He is supposed to arrive on time.他应该准时到达。 You are supposed to ask the teacher if you want to leave the classroom.如果你要离开教室，你应该问问老师。 You are supposed to shake hands.你应该去握手。;2. 在口语中，常用否定结构“be not supposed to do sth.”， 意思是“不允许做某事；不应该做某事”，相当于shouldnt。如: You are not supposed to smoke on the bus.(＝You shouldnt smoke on the bus.)你不应该在公共汽车上吸烟。 We are not supposed to play football in the street.我们不应该在大街上踢足球。;4. supposed＋that从句，当变为否定句时，否定词应 该前移。类似的词还有think，believe等。如: I dont suppose he will tell you about it.我认为 他不会告诉你这件事。 I dont think he will come.我想他不会来了。;Ⅰ. 用What are you supposed to do，I was supposed to或Youre supposed to填空;Ⅱ. 用suppose的适当形式填空。 6.
