Teaching procedures:
Step 1. Warming-up
Watch a part of video about Animal World.
Ask the students to say out the animal names that they have seen on TV as many as possible in groups. See which group is the most.
Step 2. Presentation
Play a guessing game! Guess the animals according to the description.
Talk about these animals; get the students to say what they know about animals.
Step 3. Listening
Listen to the tape, and answer the following questions:
Which animals are they talking about?
Which animals are in danger?
First play the tape through for students just to listen to so as to get the main idea of the listening passage. Play it again for them to answer the two questions and then
check with a partner. Play the tape once more for them to complete, correct and check.
Step 4. Listening and reading
Ask the students to listen to the tape without books and then answer the questions:
What is the conversation about?
Why do some people kill whales and elephants?
We are in danger now!Talk about the questions in groups: why are some animas in danger?
We are in danger now!
Step 5. Listen again, and say the sent
